Based on feedback from parents and students enrolled in JATA (Junior Academy of theatrical
Arts), the ATA Theatre Camp in Fort Lee is a welcome addition to our community. Not only does
this theatre camp benefit younger students, it offers employment and service opportunities to
current Academy of Theatrical Arts students. Just as our band and sports programs offer
summer opportunities that provide benefits to their members, the theatre students will benefit
from a summer program.
The summer camp will be open to incoming 3rd, 4th, 5th, 6th, 7th and 8th graders and will
provide classes in acting, music (vocal), and dance all aligned to the Core Standards. Students
will also prepare for a full length musical that will be performed at the end of the program.
LOCATION
Fort Lee High School Auditorium.
SCHEDULE
The Program will run Monday - Friday, July 10th - July 28th.
The performance will take place at
7:00 on July 28th.
8:00 Parents can choose to drop off their child. They may bring breakfast, if needed. Breakfast will not be provided.
9:00 - 10:30 Acting, Voice, and Dance classes. All campers will take all three classes.
10:30 - 12:00 Rehearsal for Performance.
12:00 - 1:00 Lunch (Parents MUST pack a bag lunch with a drink).
1:00 - 3:30 Rehearsals for Performance
**Students MUST bring a refillable water bottle and lunch everyday. We will have ample healthy
snacks offered throughout the day!
COST
Parents will pay a fee of $1250.00 which will cover the cost of our staff of professional
performing artists and highly experienced teaching artists, counselors, show materials, and the
usage of our professional stage, lights, sound, and any building costs that would be charged.
Checks will be made payable to Lewis F. Cole Intermediate School PTO.
