Dear Parents & Guardians,
Hello and welcome to Lewis F. Cole Intermediate School! My name is Kaitlyn Clausman and I am excited to be your child’s school counselor for the next two years. This will be my 6th year as a school counselor in the Intermediate School. I am proud to say that I look forward to coming into our building every day and having the opportunity to work with amazing students each year.
As a school counselor, I am here to support your child academically, socially, and emotionally. I am highly visible in the school and try my best to get to know each and every student. Students can make appointments to come see me or stop by when needed. My goal is to ensure your child feels comfortable seeking support in my office.
Some services I offer are individual counseling, group counseling, and social groups. The two groups I will be running this year are Girl’s group (focuses on self esteem and confidence) & Organizational skills group (focuses on study habits and organization). Social groups will be held weekly to help students get to know each other, build friendships, learn social skills, and have fun!
I encourage parents and guardians to reach out to me with any concerns they may have. I work collaboratively with teachers and school staff to ensure your child feels safe and supported in our school. Please know that I also work closely with outside agencies to ensure ongoing support for our students if needed.
